About Me

​

Son to a Polish-born opera singer and an Egyptian-born Madison Avenue ad man, I was discovered at the Sundance Film Festival by Roger Ebert, who championed my short film Bobby Loves Mangos, leading to a development deal at DreamWorks. That moment set the course for a lifelong pursuit of storytelling that bridges art and technology.

An Emmy-nominated filmmaker, I’ve directed multiple feature films and television series, including Season 5 of Z Nation (Syfy/Netflix) and the indie romantic comedy #Stuck (Amazon), starring Joel David Moore and Madeline Zima — which earned Best Director, Best Performances, and Audience Award honors across major film festivals. My follow-up feature, Mantervention, starred Mario Van Peebles and Chloe Bridges, and my thriller His Fatal Fixation became one of Lifetime’s highest-rated original movies of the year.

I recently made my debut as a generative AI director and creator with Next Stop Paris, a groundbreaking short film produced for TCL Studios. The film went on to win Best Film and Best Director at the AI International Film Festival, marking a new chapter in my creative evolution — blending human storytelling with cutting-edge technology.

I also serve as a professor of AI filmmaking at Emerson College, teaching the next generation of creators how to harness AI in the art of cinema.

I’ve worked on over 100 projects for Netflix, Amazon, HBO, Disney, Paramount, NBC, CBS, and FOX, including the multi–Emmy-nominated Naked and Afraid and The Walking Dead.
